![]() Syndicate Engineering had up to 14 crews working along a 200 kilometer network, installing 450 gates over the shutdown period. The retrofitting process also included minor civil works to enable the external frame installation. This involved pressure washing the old concrete structures, removing old drop bars, concrete walkways and handrails so they could then be retrofitted with the new model flume gate. Syndicate Engineering was involved in the commissioning of the new flume gates to the old irrigation concrete structures. Syndicate Engineering was the preferred contract supplier and managed this project in partnership with Future Flow. The Shepparton Modernization Project in which Syndicate Engineering carried out the installation and retrofitting of 460 frames and minor civil works along major supply irrigation channels throughout the Shepparton Irrigation District.
